My biggest worry is interior size. I'm a big guy, 6'3" 275 lbs, although it's funny which cars fit me and which cars don't. One of the best cars in terms of driver fit was a friggin' Nissan Versa, of all things. So I did a little chart that compared the interior dimensions compared to a Honda CR-V, a Subaru CrossTrek and a Toyota Tacoma crew-cab, which I was considering before the Maverick. It looks like I need not worry, as the CrossTrek is the only vehicle I've owned in years where I have to pull the seat up from full-ways back. Rear legroom is no worse than the CrossTrek, which is OK, and a lot better than the crap interior of the Tacoma.

So, big and tall lads (and ladies!) don't fear.

Comparisons with other vehicles welcome.

I have a 2019 Tacoma. Do many test drives or rental prior to purchase if it is on your short list and you are considering. After 2.5 years, I finally needed to use the rear seat on occasion. If you need to use the rear seat, it is tight fit. My 2007 Honda Civic Si sedan has more leg room in rear when compared and I thought that was acceptable. Maverick offers even more than that. I am looking at going from Tacoma to Maverick (Honda is nice weather only car now)and increasing rear seat leg room between 4 and 5 inches over the Tacoma. Front seat is tight for anyone nearing 6'.

I can't stand how tight the Tacoma is.

Back is for dogs and teenagers. When too full we take two cars to the cottage. It's replacing the CrossTrek which has the same rear space.

Go sit inside a bronco sport, I was dead set on the maverick until I sat in the sport and realized what a tight fit it is for my knees...I fit great in the escape which is 2 inches wider, gonna wait to sit in one

Knees aren't a problem. I have big feet, short legs and arms for my height and a very long torso. I fit in a Versa.

What is your inseam length? That's usually a problem for long-legged people.

Question: Does the rear legroom figure for the Maverick include the scooped out front seats?

In this video the guy says he’s 6’1” and he fits fine front and rear.

You resemble me in stature, I am using the Bronco Sport as my guiding light...

I fit great in the front however the back I can sit in it but would not want to travel any great distances...
Love how honest you are compared to most dealer sales people.

I’m replacing a 2017 Impreza with similar space.

The chart that he displays at time-stamp 2:50 minutes shows an oil capacity of 9.5 quarts. Can that be correct?

No it's not. That's coolant capacity for the hybrid.
