If you were hit at 50mph that Maverick held up extremely well. My daughter was in a 2021 KIA Soul S and was hit at 50mph. The impact spun her like a top too, but her whole front exploded and caught fire. She was trapped and had to use martial arts kicks on the door to escape. Sounds made up but we have pics and a police report. The difference in how the Maverick did is incredible. Gives me hope that the Maverick will be a very safe vehicle to drive.

After mav #1 is totaled I ordered # 3 today. Xlt with fx4 and 4k package. That is it. Nothing is backordered. Let's see how it goes!

It's doesn't show all the damage. The entire passenger side was hit and is now bowed out. It looks like the truck twisted. I'll get an official tomorrow or the next. Side curtains deployed. It is officially his fault and he officially gave the officer a fake insurance card.

Thats totaled??? Doesn’t look so bad. If thats all it takes to total it, maybe I should rethink my Lariat order and buy a real truck. You got me thinking now.

No the damage is EXTENSIVE. I was there with the body shop today. Even without getting into the mechanicals he thinks it will total. Two new front seats(Airbags are in these seats) New side curtains and headliner, new dash(knocked this one apart) Front fender, rear fender, two new doors, two bumpers, grille, headlight, radiator and probably more(the hood stand will not lock into place, it is bent up in the center just slightly enough) All suspension on the passenger side at a minimum, the truck is stuck in drive so likely a trans as the ECvt cannot be repaired at a local level here(Thats 7k on its own without labor) two new wheels and tires(I will demand all 4 due to flat spotting) and that is just what I saw. Thats nothing when they actually dig into it.
