So I had been looking at the Maverick for a few weeks, casually, and decided to pull the trigger last Tuesday as I was tied up on Monday. I then find out that the prices went up on that very day...*sigh*. That said, it wasn't much in the big scheme of things and the total was still $30k less than the other option I was contemplating ordering (another Ram 1500), so I'm not too concerned. All that said, can anyone "in the know" help me understand/forecast when I might be able to expect to actually receive my truck? Heck, I'd be happy with just an approximate month. Thus far, I've not even received an order confirmation email from Ford - I am assuming the email would come from Ford, not the dealer, right?

If it helps, I ordered a Cactus Gray 2.0 EcoBoost AWD Lariat Lux w/FX4, 4k towing, moon roof, bedmat, protective film, and keyless entry.

Thanks fellas/gals,

-Matt

Matt, sorry to say it might be a while. My xlt was a july 24th order and just got built on New Years eve. Got 4% off dealer invoice at Chapman Philly so I didnt mind waiting. Pick a high volume dealer and wait time may be less and forget about a hybrid you will never see one until 2023

Can't say I'm happy to hear that, but I *am* happy to hear that yours is now built and that you will be receiving it soon. Kudos to you for sticking it out. Well, my birthday is in June, so maybe I'll get it in time for that :)

Well looks like we had the same game plan, mine was supposed to be ordered in June for my birthday also but my original dealer effed it up. You may get what you want if you check dealers that have cancelled orders, but some might mark up over MSRP. Check the forums I know some on here were able to score on right off the lot on Fords build and price webpage. Good Luck

You're right, but you're just about 6 months ahead of me in the game! I was lucky enough to read about how some dealers are making up these trucks so I was sure to get a signed document stating that I was only paying MSRP. I think I will be happy to wait to get the actual build that I want rather than just buying off the lot - I'll be downsizing from a full-sized Ram, which I'm already wondering if that's a good move - so I want to ensure that I get the features that I really want so I don't give myself any reasons to question my choice.

Being a dyed-in-the-wool Ram guy who actually *uses* my truck, I am still uncertain whether this is a good move, but I do think I'll be happy. Full-sized pickups have gotten so expensive these days that even though I could afford one, I would rather step down to a smaller pickup, accept the drawbacks/limitations, and put the difference into my retirement account.

Did you complete and sign all the necessary paperwork at your Ford dealer?
I completed my order on 12/15/21 and received my confirmation and build date from Ford the next day.
My build date is the week of February 21, 2022.

Some dealer’s put in their email instead of yours, so that might be why you didn’t get an email.
Your delete should be able to provide you with your official order number.

I know of someone that order end of Sept and got theirs in Dec. I ordered, same dealer, in Oct and do not have a build date yet.
I saw someone with a very similar build to mine, ordered after me, and already has a build date (different dealer). It really is more about dealer allocations at this point, because Ford is limited on how many of some trims they can build in a week.

I ordered mine 12/03/2021 at local dealer and received Ford Confirmation email the same day, no build date yet. I read that orders might grouped and scheduled by the same color, not sure if that is correct. Dealer said it could be 6 - 9 months and possibility of rolling into a 2023 model.

You must not have been looking at a Ram 1500 classic tradesman then.

Although a lot goes into Ford pulling orders for build and although no one here can tell you exactly, I can tell you your in a very small % of build specifications to be pulled.

The % of Lux packages getting pulled for builds is in the low teens, (10-16%). Some of the other options you have selected also have low pull rates.

Bottomline, get ready for a long haul. At least expect it to be, you might get lucky in the lottery and beat the odds.

If you checkout my signature line below, you can see how it’s going so far. No build date yet on the second order. The first truck took five months order to delivery.

Hope this helps .

I completed my order on 12/15/21 and received my confirmation and build date from Ford the next day.
My build date is the week of February 21, 2022.
All I needed was to send a copy of my build from the Ford Maverick Build and Price Webpage, and a copy of my Driver License. Ford Motor Co sent a confirmation of order, several weeks later my dealer sent me a DORA which I needed to sign and return via email. I changed my build several times due to constraints, dealer updated DORA to reflect changes but did not need to resign document. Dealer DID NOT REQUIRE DEPOSIT and guaranteed 4% under dealer invoice.
Ford Motor Co sent emails updating status, Order Confirmed, Scheduled for Production, Window Sticker, and then Built notification.
Use Ford Apps to qualify for points off accessories, you get a ton of them when you actually purchase the vehicle. Look up in Forum for more info. The points just on purchase equal hundreds off on Ford accessories. Good luck, hope this helps you and hopefully you dont have to wait as long as I did. Thank God, I am just waitting for that long train ride from Hermassillo plant to PA. Might be just a month more for me.

I just don't understand this. My order was placed on October 11 and I still don't have a build date. And I know people that ordered in June without build dates. Just makes no sense.
