Hey everyone,
Just a quick question, I just ordered my Maverick and I received the "Order Confirmation" email from FORD. It shows the wrong color, but my sales rep assured me the order submission he put has the right color and that as long as that order sheet has the Alto blue, I shouldn't worry. Is this true?

Hey everyone,
Just a quick question, I just ordered my Maverick and I received the "Order Confirmation" email from FORD. It shows the wrong color, but my sales rep assured me the order submission he put has the right color and that as long as that order sheet has the Alto blue, I shouldn't worry. Is this true?
Make them give you an actual copy of the DORA with your name on it and all the options/colors/etc. I've not heard of anyone's confirmation showing the wrong color.
My confirmation had some incorrect stuff and after getting the DORA I ended up having to put in a new order because the dealer ordered it incorrectly (mine was missing Co-pilot 360 and 4k tow package).

Mine showed the correct color, and I've not seen anyone report their email was the wrong color. I'd give Ford a call just for peace of mind. They can verify your order. (800) 334-4375

That is wrong. You should have gotten something like this. This is an vehicle order confirmation form that is submitted to Ford that shows the vehicle and all the options.

EDIT: Sometimes the order confirmation email from Ford will not show all the options, but I've never heard of the color being wrong...

Not true, my dealer gave me the DORA the day it was ordered - well before I had a VIN/scheduled date. They look like this (just stole this off google)

Oh Sorry, they did provide that document and that is what the sales rep is saying. That order summary reflects "Alto Blue" but my email from Ford says Iconic Silver... I tried calling FORD and just left a voicemail. No one picked up for the last 30 minutes.

That is reassuring, thanks for the feedback. He also stated once there is a production date that is when nothing can be changed. He mentioned he can verify as it goes through the process, I just couldn't verify what is true and what isn't true with sales reps nowadays.

Yeah, I think half the people on this forum call Ford once or twice a week. Keeps them busy. 😄 Don't hold your breath for them to call you back though....

My Ford email didn't list all the options, but nothing it listed was actually wrong! And while many people have posted here with anxiety over the incomplete confirmation, I don't recall anyone reporting that the confirmation was wrong.

You do want to check this with the dealer. And BEVORE a VIN is assigned; it's too late to make changes then.
