I am going to meet with my dealer to process a change to my order (going to XLT from XL). For those of you who have made order changes, what does the process look like?

I assume I get a new DORA from the dealer, but should I expect an updated confirmation email from Ford too?

From what I've read on here, it sounds like changing an order doesn't directly delay the process, is that right? I know I'll have a slightly different build with different constraints, but it's not like going to the back of the line with a new order, right? Either way not a huge deal since I only ordered 2 weeks ago, but just curious.

I changed my order twice. I ended up just getting a new DORA. The order date on the DORA never changed. I've never received emails, not even the initial one, so I can't say if you will get new emails.

I only changed my order once because Ford forced me to and when I did I received a new email confirmation from Ford. I also received an updated DORA from my dealer showing the changes I made.

I just changed my order today. I removed the tonneau cover and spray in bed liner which apparently would hold up my order. No big deal, the ordering lady just removed the items and changed the price. Nothing else changed EXCEPT she was kind enough to change my priority code from 19 to 10 (y):)😋☺😊

Yes, I'm thinking about removing the spray-in liner too, and asking if the dealer can do it after delivery for the same price. I will ask nicely about the priority code ;)

You might want to speak to LineX. They are the company that supplies the product for Ford. However in speaking with them they informed me that when they do it themselves they use more material and scuff the paint prior to application which gives better adhesion (Ford does not). It's likely to be about $100 more but probably worth it. It's what I intend to do. And FYI if you want yes Ford can do it after delivery. I believe that LineX gives a longer warranty ...worth checking out.
