I think that all three of the speakers above are very nice and would serve me very well. If you have a good set of ear phones, you can listen to each on Crutchfield and compare them to each other.

Back in the 70's and 80's I had a pair of Bose 901 speakers and 601 speakers in our den. The 901s in the front and the 601s in the rear. I came to love the bright sounds of the Bose, yet they gave good base and wonderful midbass and mid range sound. The worked great with the Surf, Rock, and even Folk Rock sounds prevalent in the '60s through '80s. Listening to various speakers on Crutchfield with a pair of Bose headphones revealed the bright sounds of the Kenwood component 6.5" KFC-P710PS or 7" KFC-XP184C speakers. Ironically, I like the sound of the Kenwood KFC-1666 (old version 1665) 6.5" and the KFC-1796PS 2 way speakers as much as the more expensive examples on Crutchfield.

I think the JBL Stadium and Infinity Kappas sound very similar to the Kenwood and have that bright sound I like. Both are made by Harman. For me the Powerbass are great on the midbass and lower ranges, but lack the bright sound for old rock. But that is just my opinion, which is worth nothing.
thank you for sampling those speakers and giving me a product report. it looks like I need to invest in a good pair of headphones lol I wish I would have known that before spending couple of hours watching comparison videos and reading up on specs. It would have been a much more pleasing just listening to some music on Crutchfield to demo them out with my own ears. That's a great tip thank you.

I will try this again probably next year and I I'm also thinking about putting in some deadening material but I don't know if you just put it on the plastic part of the door panel or just metal the parts.
I came across this one and I wish I would have found it sooner because I would have liked to have tried it. But for now I'm just gonna go back to stock, thanks to NW_adventure for sending me his stock speakers.

yes I noticed that as well. They don't even have the wiring harness or speaker bracket listed either
I am curious. Does the bronco sport or escape use the same front speakers? looking to replace front door speakers. ( they are truly awful). Crutchfield has focal 6 1/2" on sale now. just would like to know if they will fit and brackets etc. infinity primus amp would seem to be enough also.

Glad you got your blown speaker replacement. I'm still running my stock speakers in the front and have replacements for the back that I found in one of our storage buildings.

There are lots of inexpensive headphones available now that would at least give you an idea of speaker difference on Crutchfield.

The Fosgate PPS4-6 Punch Pro is a great speaker and it is built very well. Great mid bass specs by the way. It's certainly designed to last a long time. When you do decide, please let us know what you chose and how you like them.

nice storage bin find, I'm not that lucky lol.
Once I do get the fosgate's I will update but I might not do it until there is some type of plug and play head unit infotainment system upgrade or I decided not to be too lazy and run the wiring for a kicker key amp

Focals are amazing! 100% PnP direct fit for both the door speaker and tweeters in the dash. Installed these in my Lariat with the B&O 8 speaker system.

you got me curious on those and I was checking them out but they're kind of expensive even on eBay... But if they're amazing like you said and plug and play it's definitely a contender

You might be ok but becareful buying things like car audio on ebay. There are ALOT of knockoffs sadly. They are a bit more expensive but they are truly worth it imho. Do as much research as you can to satisfy your curiosity and if you need any feedback from me, please lmk. 😀

Did you need a crossover? Or just replaced speakers.
They use inline capacitors to protect them from unwanted frequencies so you just need to replace them. They will run off the factory ACM (low risk power) but add an amp and they come alive like a concert!

Okay. Just very confused. I see all the component speakers come with a crossover. I watched all the YouTube videos and never saw anyone install the crossover to the tweeter. I want to replace the speakers, get a 5 channel amp and add a sub woofer.
