Hello everyone, I live in North Carolina and I ordered the 2.5 Lariat on day 1 for the 2023. I’ve been getting the 45 day updates from Ford (not really updating anything). Last week I got a letter from the dealership asking if I wanted to switch from the hybrid because they are only producing 50% of the 2023’s that were ordered. It also said that only 95% of the 2.0L’s were being produced but I could switch if I want to. Did we all get this letter?

A few weeks ago, Ford gave the dealers the news that you could switch from Hybrid to Eco Boost to possibly get your Maverick scheduled for production. Your decision. Read more on this forum

Did not get that letter. You are sitting pretty good to get a hybrid if your order was on day #1 and have no constraint items on your build. (it still is a gamble though).
I have two orders, both were hybrids (XL & XLT). I just switched the XL to an AWD ECO BOOST just to get a build this year. I feel that my Hybrid (both ordered 9/19 priority 19) had slim chances of being built this year.
Best of luck Caseykake!

Agreed! I didn't want to go in to the whole dealer allocation thing, but being he ordered on day 1, he is probably toward the front of the dealer allocation list for his dealer (maybe). I agree that he has the same shot at getting one as anyone/everyone that placed an order for a Hybrid.

I would think the fact that the vehicle ordered was a Lariat, would give it a higher probability of getting built. More likely than my XL for sure!

I was talking to a salesperson for a Houston dealership on 2/6/23. He expected out of the 200 orders for that dealership, he was expecting only about 30% to actually be produced. Obviously, that is nothing official, just his thoughts.

Did he have a breakdown of how many were hybrid versus EB?

No, he did not.
Thanks. Seems to be pretty consistent nationwide that hybrids outweigh EBs, but I was curious if he mentioned it. If 30% of his orders are EBs (which are sure to be built) it doesn't really bode well for the rest.

My dealer won't give out any numbers at all as far as total orders, hybrid vs. Ecoboost, monthly allocations, etc. For curiosity sakes I've been watching their website since '23s started coming in. They seem pretty consistent on removing sold vehicles immediately upon sale. They've been getting in a fairly consistent 10 Mavericks each month on their page. Seem to be running about 50-60% hybrid on what comes in. I ordered around noonish on day two and the salesman at that time said they already had 120 Maverick orders before I got there. If there's truth to that then in three more days who knows how many orders they took but assuming it slowed a little after the flood gates opened it's probably around that 200 mark. If they're getting 10/month in, that doesn't bode well for many of their orders.

My salesman says that my first day ordered priority 10 Lariat hybrid has a very good chance of being built. When I asked about switching to EB he suggested waiting a couple of months to see what happens to my order. I'm trying to decide exactly when to make the switch if I don't hear anything by the end of March.

ordered November of 2021, was scheduled for bulding in September. Delayed and delayed again many times. Then rolled over to 2023. And the wait continues......
All I added was moonroof and full size spare.

I ordered from a small dealer 20 min afresh bank opened. He topknot only 12 orders total. He has had 3 with build dates and all EB. Mine was a Lariat Hybrid and nothing except 45 day emails. This was for wife. I ordered mine from a big dealer who ordered over 300. Mine was at end of 2nd day and a loaded Lariat Hybrid just like wife’s. I have a build date of 2/27 and a vin. Go figure. It is about like the lottery - what white ball drops?

I did find one for here and an EB or me that I will trade in on the Hybrid
