Hey guys. I recently flatted the tire, repaired it immediately, but looks like unsuccessfully. Tire keep slowly loosing pressure. Mechanic in a dillership recommended to replace it. My truck just passed the 10k mile mark. Tread wear is not that significant (tread depth is around 8/32nd now). So he said it's ok to replace just one tire. Kind of unusual but I agreed. They replaced it today, but with completely different tire: Conti pro contact. Now I have three used Conti cross contact LX stock tires and one new Conti pro contact TX. It has completely different depth of the tread and weight. As for me this is strange. Why they didn't replace it with the same tire? What can be wrong in this situation? In theory now I have larger tire on one side (left rear). But this tire is 3 lb lighter with shallower tread. I didn't feel any strange behaviour on the road. But I drove just a couple of miles after this. This replacement is been done by certified mechanic from the Ford of Kirkland. So Ford recommended to do that, right? Am I ok? If so should I leave this tire on the rear side or reinstall it to the front (my car is FWD hybrid)
