I don't understand hiding the license plate. It's in plain view everywhere you drive or park.

One daughter is an Eastern grad and the other married an Eastern grad.

Unless you have access to state DOT databases or law enforcement databases you can't do anything with a license plate

I don't understand why people always have to point these items out in a thread and forum that has nothing to do with identity management?

Some of us don't use our real names on purpose. A license plate is personally identifying. Is it possible to eventually track us down? Probably. But no sense in making it easy.

+1 for as well as data brokers, AI and none-AI based Internet crawlers, etc. One less set of dots to connect.

But then again why do I care, as the saying goes "I don't have to run faster than the bear, just faster than you!" So post what ever ya like.

yep - it's cascading- ID who owns the LP, then correlate it with username on MTC, then capture any possible 'semi offensive' comments, then link ID with address etc, other social media, etc. then be an idiot and send along some 'I'm watching you' missive to person's address. Perfectly fine to scratch off LP in pic.

I barely got the word "license" entered into Google before the words "License Plate Lookup" populated with results including links to a reddit explaining how to get everything you need.

So, let us paranoid war vets be paranoid.
