Oil Life remaining reading issue in Fordpass

Confirmed. FordPass for iOS v. 4.18.1 was released 16 hours ago (last night), addressing this and one other issue.

After the update, I'm able to close the app and relaunch repeatedly with no errors on the Oil life remaining screen. Works as expected.

Thanks for the (relatively) quick fix, @Ford Motor Company!

Just out of curiosity, was that a Ford fix, or an iOS fix? It worked all along with Android.

It would be the iOS developer/company that Ford paid to develop and maintain the iOS app. "Apple" doesn't have anything directly to do with errors within an app. Apple just approves or denies the ability to list the app in their Apple/iOS App store.

Unless the app is actually "from" Apple/iOS. Comparison I would make would be the Google Suite of Apps on an Android phone. All owned by "Google".

Huh? It's Ford's app for iOS (iPhones). Ford released an update that broke this functionality, and then another update that fixed it.

The bug did not exist on the Android version, which is why nobody has reported issues with Android.

Which is why I questioned who fixed what? Was the bug on the iOS app, since it was apparently working before their latest update. At least that's the way I understood it. I mean, it could be a problem in the FP app, but couldn't it have been an issue with the iOS update, that suddenly there was an issue? Just trying to figure it out, that's all.

I had that issue with the oil information last week. It seems to be working now

Anyone else having this issue? For a week this is the message I get on FordPass about my oil life. It had been working properly for over a month. Any idea how I can I fix it? Oil level is fine.

Check the little sticker in the upper left hand corner of your windshield

2. Tap the little round icon at the top right (opposite Today)
3. Swipe down on the screen - a spinning icon should appear
4. Scroll down, tap Update All
5. Alternatively, scroll down to FordPass and tap the UPDATE button next to it
6. Wait for the update to complete
7. Reopen FordPass - Oil life remaining screen should now work

I agree, just updated my iPhone, & now the Ford Pass works re the oil life. Good find!!!
