Oil life reset ford pass??

After a recent oil change I reset the oil life monitor on the gauge cluster but it's not resetting in the app. I thought maybe I just needed to drive it but after an hour of driving, turning the truck off and on it still shows the old oil life level on the app, and the reset oil life level in the gauge cluster?

Well wouldn't you know it as soon as I posted this it did reset in the app after all!

I think it may have to do with how often your truck connects to the internet.
It may not be connecting while you're driving. It may connect and update while you're at home at night if it has access to Wi-Fi

You had to park and turn off, after it was started, for the update to go up.

Or in the app you can go request location update, that'll retrieve new data.

Just refueling yesterday - I left it "running" at the pump - but the app mileage/ect was wrong as I was trying to log OLM info.
Looked at location - yep, prior turn off at Mexican restaurant.
Location update, prior screen - new mileage shown, new driven higher tire pressure, OLM didn't actually change. (or delayed?...)

I know - first time I did that I thought what am I doing - terrible example, and I'm going to blow things up.
Now I make sure I arrive with HVB very high, and ICE never turns on.
Though I'm sure a relay will click at some point and blow us up anyway.

The EV's I've seen at the pump still have their lights on, so must be "running"!
Of course the person is still wandering around them looking for a little door...

I reset my oil life last week and noticed it took 2 hours before anything changed in the app, which then showed “—“ for another 2 days, presumably until I’d put a few more miles on the truck.

the algorithm is truly trying to gather enough information to give you a reasonable estimation oil life.
