for those who own a Ecoboost Mav there is no issue, this surcharge only applies to hybrids or full electrics as far as i know. i purchased my '23 lariat in late April of 23 and there was no extra charge for transferring the old plates or registering the new truck....however after digging into this a little more i've found that Ohio does have a extra fee for Hyrids ;$100 and $200 for full electrics whenever you next renew your registration per their website. a lot of states do this and those that dont probably are considering doing so.Has anyone done the temp tags to regular annual plates transition in Ohio with their new Maverick? I've seen some posts saying some Mavericks haven't come up as "hybrids" for the extra $100 charge, but those seem to be during renewals of existing plates.
DMV didn’t catch my maverick as hybrid here in Ohio, not when I switched tags from the escape or on renewal. I’m not complainingHas anyone done the temp tags to regular annual plates transition in Ohio with their new Maverick? Sorry, I should have specified that I have the hybrid, hence the question.for those who own a Ecoboost Mav there is no issue, this surcharge only applies to hybrids or full electrics as far as i know.
Well I snagged myself a 2023. Had to drive up to Wayne, Michigan to get it. But saw it come across my set parameters on KBB and sent an email and they said it was available for purchase. Only thing missing was 4k tow package which was on the low end of my list of options. But gained the Lariat package as I had ordered an XLT because of the price increase for 2024.Checking in from Northwest Ohio in for a future 2024 owner:

Build week 10/23/2023
Excited for November.
Following up on this, I replaced my temp tags today and the only questions I got were whether it was a personal vs. commercial truck and what the carrying capacity was. As others have mentioned, it seems the question of hybrid vs. gas didn't come up once the VIN was entered due to being a truck.Has anyone done the temp tags to regular annual plates transition in Ohio with their new Maverick? Left Gallia Saturday. Would have pushed a day to have attempted to trade my CG Eco XLT for this had I known. My salesman said he has an XLT Hybrid available. CG BAP with hitch MSRP $28175 asking $3000 ADM. I bet that is negotiable.
