I took delivery of my Silver XLT EB AWD on TUESDAY.
Montrose Ford in Fairlawn offered me $25K for my 2019 Ranger 4WD with 45K miles.
I was offered $26,500 from Carmax, Carvana, etc... but by trading in the Ranger I saved 8% Cuyaoga County sales tax, so I really got $27,000 trade.
Their trade-in was fair, they did not waiver, and admittedly, they didnt make anything on the Z-Plan Maverick. So its only fair that I give them an opportunity to make $ on my Ranger...
BESIDES.. I have another Maverick on order and want to be treated fairly on the next one.
My Maverick!!

I ordered from Germain in June at invoice. It is due to be delivered within the next week. Just got a call from them essentially telling me that it is an expectation that I trade my current car because of the price of the Maverick and the market etc. I'm not feeling that vibe at all. They claim they will be aggressive, but they can't offer what Carvana etc. offers because of their market (which makes sense to a degree). But basically said, if I were to keep my car they'd expect me to not go and sell it elsewhere and actually keep it because of the price of the Maverick. I'd almost rather keep it as it's nearly paid off and the only good reason to trade it is because of high values in the market. I'm pretty worked up at the moment, and hoping it all plays out smoothly next week, but I just don't have a great feeling about it, at all -- especially after waiting almost 9 months for this day to come.

Who else has taken delivery from Germain in Beavercreek, any issues?
I purchased from Germain Columbus and no issues at all. They didn't pressure me to trade in my truck, which I ended up doing anyway. I walked in with a written offer from CarMax down the street, and because of sales tax savings, they were able to "match" it. Overall a good experience and I can't imagine a dealership from the same family would be too different. BTW Germain Columbus didn't require a deposit when I ordered and sold me the truck at MSRP.

Good to hear. I did a $500 deposit. Definitely just rubbed me the wrong way with the statements of (paraphrasing) "just wanted to call ahead and mention it because if you sold your car the day before you came in for the truck, that'd be an issue -- we're expecting the trade-in because that's our inventory these days".....about three weeks ago I stopped in and they said they're not doing any ADM/games and have been honoring the invoice pricing -- so I really don't foresee a situation where they won't honor the invoice, regardless of if I make a trade-in or not, but you still just never know until the deal is done!

I'm totally fine with "matching the offer" after including the tax savings, as I believe that's a win-win for all. Not to mention, they could turn around and sell it to Carvana themselves the next day and bank the $1,600 they can offer below due to the tax savings. But if they can't do that and they're like ~1K or more off from even a match post-tax savings, then I'm not dumb enough to just leave thousands on the table for a large business when I'm just an individual person. I'll definitely be entering the dealership prepared with documents in hand if needed.

Thank you for Posting. I ordered my XL through Montrose Ford and it is good to know that you received your Maverick and that it was a good transaction. I feeling confident with my order hearing this testament.

I ordered my Hybrid XLT July 30th and it was delivered December 7th. My understanding there were only a couple of the Hybrid XLT Carbon Gray Metallic delivered to Ohio. So far had it Line-X sprayed and a Gator sfx tri-fold tonneau cover.

My bare bones with hitch XL Hybrid from Montrose Ford in Fairlawn, OH, ordered 6/17/2021, is still not scheduled. My dealer tells me it may roll to MY 2023. Seems like fleet orders take priority on the XLs. but a few regular retail ones are getting built and delivered. Probably partly an allocation issue with my dealer, also.

My son did finally get his 2022 Escape plug-in Hybrid from Liberty Ford Aurora in late February, after rolling to MY 2022 from MY 2021 and waiting a total of 9 months. So, stuff from Ford is dribbling out on the Hybrid front. Just real slow.
My XL from Montrose Ford isn't scheduled though the order was 11-3-2021. Will be interesting to see who gets theirs first. Good Luck,

Hey guy I am over here in Champion township. Good to hear soon I may not be the only Maverick around here. Picked my hybrid up in December from Mark Thomas Ford in Cortland.

How do you like that Gator tri-fold so far? I have the same one ready to install when my Mav arrives.

Gator covers the top very well, length is good compared to others I've heard are a little short. Easy to put on, easy to remove.

Hi!

I just took ownership of a Cactus Grey XL 2.0 in Columbus, Ohio. I’ll be getting an after market spray in liner put in this week. I also need to chase down Cubbies, as my model doesn’t have cubbies and I regret that now. Haha. Even one would be handy.
