Offered a Free Maintenance Plan -- anyone else?

I received a call from Ford Customer Service and they offered me a free 3 year 45k Ford ESP Essential Maintenance Plan. Ford emailed me a brochure stating that it covers oil and filter changes, inspection and tire rotation. I accepted. Did anyone else get this offer? I was suspicious at first.

Probably a followup from the repair issues you reported previously that FMC responded on. A few others have reported being offered ESP coverage afterwards.

I did have my radio malfunction. I also had an egg frying noise that they apparently couldn’t replicate. I also had the hybrid shake.

DMVs make good money selling your info including the VIN. Don't know if your offer is legit or not but the fact that they have your info does not necessarily make it legit. I would be alarmed if they ask for financial info or any money.

Many "Free" offers end up asking for money for handling or shipping or a refundable deposit or some other made up reason. I honestly hope it is legit. But alarms should go off it they get to a point where they ask for money.

Yeah, it's sounding a bit scammy to be honest. Maybe you can call up Ford customer support and ask if you actually do have a maintenance plan offered for your VIN?
