As stated by a prior poster, I'll just work under the trim...

My installer didn't take the wipers off to lower mine, he undid all the clips on the plastic cowl to gain access to the third bolt on the strut tower. No need to pull the wipers off unless you simply want to.

I removed my wipers to get the cowl out of the way. I dont like working around shit when it's easily removed.

Have you actually removed the arms on your Maverick without a puller?

Yes. Since you asked I have never needed a puller across numerous makes and models.

Mine were really stuck on there, I tried for quite awhile but ended up having to use the puller...

Mission complete. Gave up on the wipers, and went under the trim per previous poster's recommendations. Non-issue...
