Odd electrical issue

Received my Maverick a couple weeks ago, it was dirty from shipping (shipped from Kansas dealer to Pa) so as soon as I received a temp tag I took it to the car wash , some time after that I noticed the driver side headlight not working and the passenger side led light bar staying on a long time after shut off, I took it to a local Ford dealer , they said after testing that it was a headlight module so they ordered it and when that came in they tried to install it , they said the new part would not communicate with the BCM ? So they thought maybe it was the wrong module, after more testing they now think there’s a short so they are waiting for a new headlight assembly and another module, so I took delivery on 7/9 and waited a week for the temp tag and have driven it about 2 or 3 days and it sits at a dealer since uhg..

Update
I finally have my Maverick back and loving it , the dealer had to order and replace 2 headlight modules the first one bad from the factory and believe it or not 2 driver side headlights the first one they recieved had a broken mounting tab that was laying in the top of the box , so someone knew that and shipped it anyway, I Dont blame the dealer for any of this they kept me informed every day and treated me like a regular even though I didn’t buy from them. I think Ford has a parts quality issue though.

Why is it, when there is an Electrical problem, they always say
”it’s a short”. A true short to ground, will blow a fuse. A shorted Output will falsely activate another output. If something doesn’t work, isn’t it more an open circuit?

Not all shorts to ground are a dead short. And also some circuits like the headlights don't have plain dumb fuses but rather the BCM monitors their draw and can shut down the FET that controls it if it detects an overload or unusual voltage/resistance.
