Finally!!! Tomorrow (5/28/23) is the day I get my baby! a 19-month, (589 Day) wait. Here's the saga:
- Oct. 16, 2021 - Ordered a '22 Cactus Gray XL Hybrid
- Oct. 25, 2022 - Rolled over the order to a '23 Cactus Gray Hybrid
(add-ons were an internal inverter, Co-Pilot 360, Tow Hitch)
- May 8/ 2023 - Scheduled
- May 10/2023 - Built
- May 12, 2023 - Shipped
- May 24 - Arrived at Kendall Ford of Meridian, ID
- May 28 - (This is tomorrow as I write this) - Going in to finalize the deal!

Meanwhile, in October of 2023 I found and purchased a new (order declined) '22 Cactus Gray XL Hybrid. I put 3,900 miles on it and sold it today to Carvana for $31,606, slightly more than I paid for it. So, I essentially drove it for 7-months for free!

This deal has been coming together beautifully and, assuming all continues to go according to plan. tomorrow I will have a newer (2023), nicer (XLT) Hybrid which I will actually pay less for than the '22 I just sold.

I got it! Kendall Ford of Meridian, Idaho was exceptionally great to work with and in particular my internet sales guy, Mike Parr. Nobody likes to wait 19+ months for an ordered vehicle, but these are unusual times. Fortunately, I actually made money on this deal, got to drive a '22 Maverick XL Hybrid for 7 months for essentially free, and now have my '23 XL Hybrid with some great new whistles and bells. Great truck, good people, amazing deal. Happy days are here again! Pics to come after I glam her up a bit.

I picked my truck up yesterday and drove it 5 miles to Ceramic Pro for them to do PPF, Ceramic, and Tint. I'll pick it up from them next week. Figures that a few hours after I get it, there is a recall already.
