I know this one gets asked a lot, and I've read through many of the ESP threads. I passed on the 10Y/100K ESP @ Granger because I didn't want to bundle it in the loan, and did want to drive the vehicle for a few months to get a feel for whether it was something I was going to own very long term, which is yes now.

First question is how does Ford deal with customers who do their own fluid changes on warranty issues. I've always been hyper-vigilant about 5K oil changes and doing the transmission around 30K, probably even more so with this vehicle since I would like to keep it as a little hauler even when it's not my primary vehicle years from now. What do I need to keep documented for DIY fluid services, or can I even?

Second one is just the general is it worth it from owners that are past the 36K b2b warranty. I see some eye poppers on the Maverick like $1,100 LED headlights, dash out heater cores, plus the usual money grenades like an electrical harness that would be covered. On the other hand, most major repairs tend to come after 100K based on my past experiences.

Given that most things cars still seem to be going up in price faster than money sitting in a HYSA, I've just been waffling on whether too spend the $1,900 for the 10Y/100K ESP with lights and be done with it locked in, or hold off until the b2b is almost done.

I am in the same boat. As far as headlights make sure you get the adder for lights . From what I have found out the warranty wont cover the hybrid trans axle at all. Nor the big battery ,. I myself have never gotten an extended warranty as I could always fix it myself including any big job like engine or transmission as a former chevy mechanic.

But now its so complex plus the high voltage I would rather not. . The question is, Is it worth it? Plus say a headlight goes out. What if they say a rock hit it and its not covered?

. I wish it covered the hybrid transaxle. I could see one of the two motors inside it going out. But I could see that electric water pump going almost for sure before 10 years or air condition compressor maybe fail. More the water pump for sure. .

Not sure yet if it covers that switch part of exhaust that heats or cools hybrid battery,. That looks likely to fail . Front axle CV joints seem prone to failure but that is super easy job to do myself.

I was or will get the 10 year 125 K mile as I drive about 11K a year meaning at 10 year i would be over 100K miles.

I most likely will get it. If I do in the next few months My 2023 bought August 17 2023. XLT hybrid

As far as fluid changes I just keep the receipts for oil filters i buy at Ford dealer and oil I get at walmart Pennzoil Ultra Platinum. When I do trans I will get fluid at ford dealer. Keep receipts when i flush brake fluid. I might have dealer do anti freeze depending on cost. Specialty tool for that. its NOT a drain and fill at radiator or bottle anymore. Just keep receipts for records.

You need to buy in first 12.12000 for current price, if over that but under 36.36000 normally a $100 surcharge. over 36/36000 you have to buy a used car ESP.
