There's too many moving parts to nail down a specific date. I was moved from the week of 12/12 to 12/19, but the build has started. Maybe it will arrive for a late January Bday, maybe not. Every day is an opportunity to squeeze a few more miles out of Whitey.

Are you sure your build "week" wasn't 12/12 and the build date is now the actual date it rolled? Either way, 2 days isn't worth writing home about.

Hmmm. My Hybrid Lariat Alto Blue went into production on the 13th, but no update since. I'm also starting to think there might be some holdup.

One thing that people often don't consider is the transportation bottlenecks that Ford is having a lot of problems with.

To get the truck to you they need a spot on a train, a spot in a staging area to unload it at, and a local carrier to get it to the dealers. Those may be hard to get commitments for at the time they originally scheduled your truck to be built.

Until they can have each of those available there is no sense in building your truck then having it sit at the factory until they can ship it. They may also have limited space at the factory to store trucks that are waiting to be shipped. It is better to make a different truck that they can more promptly get to the dealership.
