In November 2024, weren't they all on hold because of the camera recall?
That's how I was able to get my new '24 in June of this year! ServPro ordered this one and when the recall hit they ended up taking a '25 instead. Recall finally was completed and it sat at the dealer until I was fortunate enough to find it.

Wow. I guess the lust for a 20k truck was nonsense. What’s the profit compared to other entry level vehicles?
The other entry level “trucks” (Honda Ridgeline & Hyundai Santa Cruz) might have better profit margins than the Maverick? However, the Maverick is crushing them in units sold. Almost triple both of them combined.

I was one of those! Most money I've ever spent on Black Friday! Lol.

This is the first time I've ever seen any discounts or rebates on the Mav's, especially ones that stack, as I got nearly $3,000 off of mine. I'd imagine there were quite a few folks like me who jumped at a chance to pay something under MSRP for these.
Pretty much! Got mine two weeks ago. almost $6500 of MSRP because Lobos aren't selling as well.

I was just at the "local" dealership in a town about 20 miles away and they had 8-9 Mavericks but 4 LOBOs, 2 Tremors. I think the XL and XLTs fly off the lots and the Lariats are likely custom ordered and also don't hang around too long.

I would love a Ranger or an F150 to be honest - but we got 6" of snow here last night and I can't/won't afford one of those at $55-60k to get 4A - it is something I cannot stand about Ford how they gate keep AdvancedTrac.

It was wonderful to hop in the my Mav AWD with Wildpeak AT Trails and head out without a worry while she ate up all the fresh snow.
The awesome Maverick AWD and A/T Trails is a great combination. It's like they are made for each other. :thumbsup:

Soon to be discontinued I would bet. Lowering a Mav takes away some of it’s truck capabilities.

Soon to be discontinued I would bet. Lowering a Mav takes away some of it’s truck capabilities.
It’s just a niche market to begin with and then the LOBO gets expensive if you don’t go base.

I don’t think LOBO survives the full redesign that’s for sure.

But I also see Ford moving the Maverick further “upscale” with features which will come with another price increase.

Yup, I wouldn’t be suprised to see them getting discontinued. quite a few of them have been sitting on lots for 200+ days. Mine was a March that sat.

If the psychology behind slammed trucks is making 15+ year old used vehicles "your own" and making something more unique out of a pigs ear so to speak, then new ones aren't gonna catch on super well. Also the SCCA crowd aren't usually buying brand new vehicles to pound around circuits or cones, in very high numbers. Hobbyist motorsports guys are maybe only finding a few thousand a year to spend not a few tens of thousands. So kinda set for a "hugely popular used buy in a decade" rather than success at the dealer now, and they'll all be whining "Why didn't they make these longer??"

If would help if Ford added some power to the Lobo instead of just making it handle better, also. In a straight line, it's not quicker than a standard model. (Yeah, I know it skips a gear in the transmission, too, but they added zero power, which is unusual for a performance model.)
