BTW, there is a dash warning light for parking brake issues. My 25 EB lights up for a second in the upper right hand corner of dash during the startup self check routine…

I think that could have been the indicator that I misinterpreted as the brakes "automatically" engaging, but IIRC (that's a big "IF" at this point ) when it finally gets above freezing I'm going to get to the bottom of my increasingly apparent error...

CONFIRMED - PARKING BRAKE DOES NOT SET AUTOMATICALLY on my MY25 Hybrid.

I just had recall 25C69/25V863 for the Integrated Park Module which is for the park pawl not engaging. Is this the one you are asking about? If so, I think the dealership has to perform it at their site. Mine was just done but failed and the truck had to stay at the dealership overnight as the fault triggered the high voltage battery warning codes that prevented the truck from moving. So I picked up my 25 Lariat Hybrid the next day at 1 pm after successfully finishing this recall

I had the local dealer send their mobile guys out. Nice guys but warned me that the SW update failed 3/4 times already. They hooked up my 25 Lariat with a fast wifi connection but unfortunately failed. Next step is to take to dealer and drop off. Really surprising since my other car is a Tesla that has had countless OTA updates.

Wow. I'm thinking I'm going to wait on this "upgrade" unless the dealer is willing to give me a loaner...

My dealer called me on Thursday about this. I took it in yesterday, and it took just over a half hour while I waited. They hooked up a charger to the engine battery under the back seat to keep it topped off while the update did its thing. I haven't noticed a difference after the update, but I'd never had any problems with it anyway.

Well, the one difference I noticed is that my Carplay stopped working after this update, at least for Pandora. That seems to happen occasionally though. I rebooted my phone today and it was fine again. Thankfully.
