my XLT delivered 7 Jan has the insulation
Interesting. I'll check that whenever my June '21 ordered XLT is actually delivered (looking like mid- May to early June). To be honest, won't really be a big deal to me either way, I expect to find things like this (and no engine cover, etc.) on my $24k hybrid truck.

Fellow Maverick owners- I had noticed being able to smell oil/engine bay smell(s), when opening passenger door… come to find out the normal black foam/rubber or even insulated carpet material found on most all vehicles was missing!? This is the area behind both door hinges (driver/passenger) that is the fender to engine bay openings. I have attached a couple pictures. You can see where the insulation would attach with a retainer clip….? Is my Maverick the only missing these?, is your’s missing..? Is this another cost cutting? If cost cutting, I will have to add my own, one for noise and wind and etc, but also I don’t want to smell or hear or feel engine bay nuances…?? Never seen this before guys? This is both sides! As you can see the washer fluid reservoir passenger side, and driver side is the same….

Sorry, finally had a second and scrolled back! Lol! I’m sorry… I wasn’t paying attention to the fact I was farther into the post lol.. you guys rock!

Again, this is why I posted… not to just ā€œcomplainā€ on my ā€œ20$k dollar truck that I supposedly over paid for at $33,500 and expect it to be correctā€ message… which I’m so tired of the bickering on!! I expect anyone on here that bought the cheapest Maverick built, to be correct and sound! Sorry I have higher standards… but yes, I did option out a Maverick to that price point.. Does not mean I expect it to be anything but right! but to see if this was a miss or done for cost cutting across the board etc. this is an easy fix! I will have dealer order and place them into the truck.

if you happen to get this resolved and can provide part numbers, I'd appreciate hearing the outcome.
You bet! I have visit setup for Tuesday 3/8/22 at 2:30pm. I will follow up with pictures, part number, costing info, and what ford says. The guy on the phone was clueless, talking about it being an ā€œoptionā€ at the build process for the customer to select!!!! I was like no sir, this isn’t what you think it is. So more to come gang.

Gang- got home did some searching… here is the part number, cost, build blow-out/3-D diagram… one could argue it’s for all mavericks except the 2.0 XLT and 2.0 XL!?!?!? That’s shitty… especially for the damn up charge… I’m sure my friendly ford dealer and or ford themselves will hook me up… but it’s cheap otherwise… I will let you know if I get it installed. Thanks everyone. G

Wow good job man on finding the part numbers and what models they weren't installed on. I guess that explains why our XLT 2.0 doesn't have them.
Anyway, thanks for for info and if you do decide to order them please keep us updated on how the install goes.

Bbhaag-

thanks for the kind words and respect. I will update after Tuesday’s appointment at latest. I am going to meantime reach out to Ford to see if they would be kind enough to work with me to get them installed. I’m kind of confused on why keeping out the 2.0 ecoboost trucks On this… I know it’s all around $$$ but doesn’t quite add up lol… anyways stay tuned friend(s).

I actually use the gap between the fender and horn to put my funnel and rag. Looking it at just now , it still there for the last couple of months
Nice idea...but did you try that place for yet another water bottle.šŸ˜€
