Sorry if this has been asked before. I couldn't find any specifics about the solution to this dilemma.

One of the things I love about my current vehicle is that is has an Aux port. Simple and reliable. But it doesn't appear the Maverick has an aux port so how, exactly, would one listen to content on an iPhone?

Thanks!

Bluetooth or plug in to the USB port and use Carplay.

I use a lightning adapter to 3.5mm jack. Guess I won't need it now. How reliable is the BT/Apply Play stuff?

Using a Lightning to USB cable (like the one you charge with) allows you to control playback from the steering wheel controls and the truck's touchscreen. No need to mess with the phone. You don't have to use CarPlay unless you want to, but it gives you more apps through your phone like navigation. CarPlay would require it to be plugged in, but you can plug in just to play music via USB.

I don't have my truck yet, but lots of others have purchased wireless Apple Car Play adaptors and seem to be having good luck with them. So, as others have said, you can just plug in to the USB port or get a wireless adaptor.

Personally, I plan to probably just plug in, since that'll the charge the phone too. Not really sure what the huge deal about wireless is. A single cable from the USB port to my phone isn't going to bother me.

I've never had an opportunity to use CarPlay until we had to rent a car this weekend. It was actually pretty nice to use. My son had lots of fun playing with it. I'll probably like it too

Question, does either USB port (A vs C) activate the Apple Car Play? Do any of the other USB ports work with Car Play?

Either USB A or C. The rear seat ports are charge only.

What happens if you plug in two iphones in the front at the same time? I'm guessing the first one controls CarPlay and the other just charges?

Yes, exactly. Best to connect the one you want to use CarPlay on and wait for it to load before plugging in the second, or plug the second into the charge-only ports on the back of the center console.

If I remember correctly, you have the ability to set a "priority" iPhone in the SYNC menu to address the issue of having two phones connected at once in the two main USB ports.
