I'm new to the forum. I was a jilted Lightning reservation holder. (Day 1 reservation who never received an invite to order due to the judicious allotment of my selected dealer.) After seeing the Lightning price increases for 2023 and the fact, that unlike the Maverick, they will not have a special offer keeping the price close to the same, I have decided to get a Maverick.

Here are questions that have probably been asked, but I can't seem to find the answers. I apologize in advance.
1. Ordering the Maverick: It looks like the order date has been pushed to 9/15 from the August date. Is that correct? Some dealers can only tell me it will be in September sometime.
2. I have found a dealer promising to honor MSRP and no ADMs. Only a $498 doc fee. My sales person took my build and says she will contact me as soon as the order guide for the 2023 Maverick becomes available. Will it just be a matter of placing my order on 9/15 (assuming it is the order date) in a wild rush to get my order in ASAP or is there something more I should know?
3. Once I get my order placed for a XLT hybrid, how long should I conservatively estimate before I get my Maverick? I would like it by September 2023 if possible.
4. I realize that 2023 Maverick information isn't released, but I am surprised that the Maverick had x-plan pricing and the Farm Bureau discount! Any idea if this will change? I'm surprised a back ordered vehicle would receive these benefits.

Thank you to everyone for your posts on the forum. I'm trying to get caught up to speed after living in Lightning land and being the last to the party over here.

Seems like you have a good path. But it all depends on the honesty and ethics of the dealer. Wven Ford admits that they have little control in this area. I had all those insurance too. But due to the developed high demand the price a dealer could get over MSRP went way up. In my case my Maverick was listed on the inventory for two months and it included the co pilot option. One can only imagine the offers that tempted the honesty and integrity. Before I knew the truck was delivered it was modified at the dealership without my knowledge or permission. This was against my original instruction as agreed with by the sales representative.
The dealer was instructed to restore my truck to the original condition, they refused. Sold the truck to someone else at a much higher profit, returned my deposit and check.
After all this I was quite upset but then realized I would have been using the service department of this unethical dealer.

My only recommendation would be to go to Chapman if you're near Scottsdale. My dealer was a bit uninformed back when I'd ordered but everything went really smoothly. No price hikes or anything sheisty. Plus they seem to get a TON of allotments.

I called Chapman and I am impressed with them, but they said they add a Desert Protection Package for $1,100 to their vehicles. Maybe I should have pushed them harder, but Earnhardt Ford and Sanderson Ford said they don't have any ADMs.

You do have me worried about allotments. Am I going to be stuck with a similar problem with the Lightning in choosing a dealer with few allotments and still be out of luck? Will a dealer tell me in advance how many allotments they will have? They always say they don't know.

I got lucky in that when I ordered, I specifically said I do not want the protection package, and so it wasn't added. The finance guy was a little surprised to see I'd gotten that by them. They DID nitrogen fill my tires but when I said I didn't want that, off it came from the bill. I did have them do the tinting a few days after I'd taken the truck home. Kind of like a little "thanks for not adding all the other junk". They did a pretty good job too.
I've seen countless Mavericks come through Chapman. Broncos as well. Hell, I saw a Lightning on the lot yesterday when I went to get oil changed (not for sale tho). I have no idea if the other dealers' allocations are any different. You'd hope they're be honest if they knew... But honest dealers are definition the exception and not the norm.

Things we're aware of:

'23 order banks open in September (exact date or dates TBA and still subject to change).
First '23 model year builds scheduled to begin around mid-November (subject to change).

So, a few weeks of '23 production in November, then about two more weeks in December before factory winds down for the holiday period. Factor in an estimate of 4 to 6 weeks shipping from factory to dealer (could be more, might be a bit less as you're relatively close to the factory).

Priority for '23 builds (theoretically) to favor '22 orders which have been carried over, subject to the usual caveats regarding constraints as well as regional and dealer allocations. Wouldn't expect to receive delivery of a '23 order until sometime after New Year's.
