New XLT Owner

Hi Everybody,

SoCal teacher here (and I'm a "maverick" in the classroom, ha ha).

Just picked up the 2024 XLT with AWD, FX4, XLT Luxury Package, and 4K Tow Package in Carbonized Gray.
Had been waiting 3.5 months for the BCM recall to be issued.
Bought it in South Orange County, CA.
For anyone who's purchasing, I paid about $36K OTD with above packages (no extended warranties or add-ons).

Have two minor issues already: The clock resetting itself multiple times (as mentioned in the forums) and the little metal retaining clip on the tailgate strap bent out of shape so it won't stop the strap from coming off (see photo).

Looking forward to doing some minor add-ons like tonneau cover, some interior Mabbet accessories, etc.

For anybody's interest, the 3 reasons I didn't want the 2025 was I don't like the look of the new headlights/front end, I don't like that they did away with the manual radio & other buttons, and the decrease in horsepower (due to a new gas filter, according to Maverick Monday YouTube Channel).

Fyi, there is no reduction in horsepower due to the filter on any of the 25 Mavericks.

Have you figured out how much more a 25 MY with the same equipment, etc. would have cost??? Just curious....

It was widely reported that there was a decrease in horsepower (including on this forum), however that was a minor factor in my decison. It really was the changing of the front end design, the elimination of the interior buttons, and the fact that there were 3 dealers within 50 miles of me that had the exact 2024 truck I was looking for with the AWD, FX4, XLT Lux Package, and the 4K tow package, and in the Carbon Gray.
No, I didn't even consider the price of the 2025 model.
