Today I picked up my new winter rims & tires, I really like the stock XLT rims so I tried to go with something that looked close to stock.
I’ve had my truck for almost two weeks and love it so far.

They are Touren TR79, they look the same though. Probably sold with a different center cap by lots of companies. They were very affordable.

Huh? Those are off-road, not snow tires. Those are going to suck worse than the all-season tires on anything even moderately icy.

I don’t get much ice where I live just snow and alot of it. But pass few years it hasn’t been too deep of snow, and if I don’t need them then great , as soon as spring comes around again I’ll but my regular tires back on .

Those look sharp, great choice of color. Its interesting how much Area 51 changes color in different lighting.

Just so you know they have done test on youtube comparing off road tires verse snow tires in the snow. Snows always beat them in the snow let alone on ice.
The original posted picture has Goodyear Winter tires installed.
Thanks

So, what you're saying is that "Snow" tires are better in snow than tires designed to be at their best in nice warm dirt? Woah, imagine that. We're currently saying that rubber compound and specific tread design trumps big knobs? Who could have known? Next, you'll be telling me snow tires aren't as good as all terrain tires in soft dry dirt.

Those rims remind me of the ones featured on the 11th gen Civic Si and Civic Sport for some reason.

I've driven in mid-Michigan for over 35 years. I've never gotten snow tires, just kept the all-season radials. That goes for RWD, FWD, AWD and 4WD that I have owned over the years.

I also drove with all seasons for nearly 35 years. In 2018 I purchased my first set of winter tires and couldn't believe the difference. Another benefit was the need to purchase a second set of aluminum rims.
