Purchased a 2024 Maverick Lariat 04/03/25. I had been researching since last August for a smaller truck. In May 2023 during a lapse of clarity due to grief and isolation with shingles I bought a Chevy (gasp) Silverado because I liked how it looked. What i discovered was I didn't like how it rode or drove and especially as myself and my new special someone discovered climbing into it gets harder with aging knees. I had it whittled down to either a Ridgeline or Maverick but since Mavericks were scarce to test drive I postponed a decision until this week. On Tuesday I went to look at a used Ridgeline and immediately hated trying to get in the thing. I am 6'2" and had to duck down more than I do to get in my Mustang. Went to the local Ford dealer who had just received a 2025 XLT Maverick. It was so much better designed for ingress and egress. But I didn't like that particular Maverick. I searched the interweb for Mavericks within 75 miles and wanted a 2024 for the smaller screen. I know old fart that I am I prefer knobs. Found a 2024 Lariat in Atlas Blue ( I call it blue oval blue) and desert tan interior (blue jeans and cowboy boots). This website helped me so much in my over research. So a shout of thanks to all the members who unknowingly helped with my return to the land of Ford.
Glad you found a better fitting vehicle, this too was a deciding factor for me since I drive my mother around to doc appointments, shopping etc and no way she would be able to get into a higher vehicle.

I'm new to the group also and I am glad to be surrounded by this bunch of people who have been so helpful, I'm constantly picking up nuggets of information from here so, thank you group.

Hello and welcome to MTC. Congratulations on your new Maverick. Instead of thanking the site and/or members you should be thanking yourself for making that decision.

I know first hand the difference between a full size vs the Maverick. I think you will and are enjoying your truck and your decision. One thing you forgot was the difference in parking and actually opening the doors satisfactory to allow ingress and egress. I hated climbing into the bed to get things as well. The Maverick allows reaching over the sides. Hope you enjoy and appreciate your truck and your decision.

Have the same truck since late Sept. Love it. Have the 4K tow and it tows great. Pulling a 2 place snowmobile trailer that is 13' long, 90" tall and 90" wide. Can set the cruise at 75 on I95 in Maine and still gets just over 13mpg. Most full size trucks can't get that mileage towing. Locally getting 25's to 26's, depending on how often I use remote start to warm up the truck. lol. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do. Do miss some of the niceties of of my 2020 Escape Titanium, but I will survive.

From one old fart,74,to another you will definitely like the truck except maybe the darn shifter knob🤥if you got a ecoboost you need one of these to go with it!

Old fart here too (76 tomorrow). Not sure why so many people hate so man of the niceties options on the Mav... Love the knob for shift selection (why take up all the real-estate for the damn shift lever), auto stop, auto hold, lane centering, lane assist and the adaptive cruise control. Lost some options from my 2020 Escape titanium and wish they were available in the Mav.. IE.. programmable seat selection, front bumper sensors (know they are now in the 2025), automatic rear view mirror and garage door opener in the visor to name a few. Why should I have to do something if the car will do it for me. Even a buddy that is many years younger than I turns off lane centering and lane assist when he takes over driving when we head north to go snowmobiling.
