Hey guys/gals, new to the forum as a poster/member, but been lurking for some time. I placed my 2023 order before the order banks closed and Ford confirmed my order 9/20/22 for my 2023 Iconic Silver XLT AWD Ecoboost with the Black Appearance Pkg. I was stoked! Got the dreaded update email yesterday that everybody else seemed to get about the delays. So needless to say, not sure when/if my 2023 will even arrive. But, Wednesday of this week a 2022 Hot Pepper Red XLT AWD fell into my lap, so I bought it in the meantime. So, I am a Maverick owner, just not the one I ordered. I love everything about this lil truck. From it's mini truck vibe, to it's great ride characteristics. I do have plans to just drive this one until my order gets here. But, all along I wanted to do a throwback to the mini truck scene. So, it may get lowered and some old skool pin stripe work done to it. My ordered one would have definitely got done that way.

And why did Ford call this color Hot Pepper Red? It is not red at all, it's Orange! I definitely am not a loud color kind of person, so the color is taking some getting used to. I prefer Silver or White.

Welcome! Would love more pics of your HPorange xlt. We ordered a HPR XLTremor, and cant wait to add more color accents to it when we get it.

Welcome from the other end of NC! I've had my 22 XLT HPR AWD ECO LUX 360 for a few weeks. My initial gripes are fading now. It's just becoming a comfy daily driver that's a foot too long for my needs, but still averages 29.2 mpg in mixed driving.

You'll love the HPR in certain sunlight conditions. It's a cool color for that reason - changes hues with the type of light hitting it. Haven't done it yet, but I think HPR looks great with black tailgate letters.

Thanks guys! I "like" the color, but am not in love with it. I am a Silver guy. My plan is to drive this one until the order shows up. The dealership said more than likely they would give me what I paid for it if I wanted to trade it in, but we will see when the time comes. The finance guy who did my paperwork said he would just buy it from me, that way I wouldn't need to trade. So I guess I have some options.

I will get some pics posted once I detail it up to my liking, but it may be a lil while as I have many other projects sitting in my garage now that need my attention

The guy that ordered this one did get the XLT AWD, FX4 pkg, CoPilot360, Full Size spare and Tri Fold Tonno Cover, so it has some nice options. I already bought the bed mat and floor liners for it. I will hold off on lowering this one until I at least lay eyes on the one I ordered and make sure which one I am going to keep. But so far, almost 300 since Wednesday, I love this lil truck. It serves my purpose perfectly.

Welcome neighbor to the club . Everyone has opinions but I would keep the 2022 not the 2023 !!! The 2022 has alot more standard accessories that they took out of the 2023 . Bed rails, different key fobs . Leather steering wheel and bed liner all these things are extra or discontinued on the 2023 Maverick!!! Also a few more I did not mention just my opinion !!!

My '22 don't have leather wheel, bed liner or bed rails. So my '23 won't be much different honestly. But I get what you're saying. I am definitely going to contemplate it, but my order hasn't even been scheduled for production, so it's gonna be a while I assume. I did change the color on the order today from iconic silver to cactus gray, but that's it.

I went and tinted the windows today, 20% CIR full ceramic film with an 8" 5% brow on the windshield. I even took some pics, even though it isn't clean to my liking.

I love my HPR Maverick, wife was tired of my usual silver/blue vehicles. It will grow on you.
