Just a brief post of an accessory that I've always wanted to add to the Maverick since day one. I successfully ordered a rubber bed mat from Ford Accessories for only $140.00 plus shipping. To my surprise, it came relatively quickly considering I ordered it last week. I tried ordering from my parts department and they had a hard time finding the link to it and when they did, they said it was on backorder so they couldn't order one. However, the same exact day I went on Ford Accessories' website, put in an order, and three days later, it was shipped. So I can safely say my parts department was just full of it and didn't really know what they were talking about. There wasn't even a mention of it being backordered on their site and if it really was, the site wouldn't allow me to order one in the first place. It was delivered two days ago and I just got around to installing it today.

It fits wonderfully and looks good. I like the "MAVERICK" embossing in the center. The only downside is the tie-downs on both upper corners are covered. I figured they would've made cuts for those from the factory but it's not that big of a deal considering there's many more around the bed that I can still use. Now I can actually utilize my bed without worrying about scuffing the spray-in. Also, nothing will roll around and the mat will take the brunt of the usage.

Sounds like a job for Mr ice pick to locate and Mr drill to open, purchase slightly longer fasteners, re-install tie downs and you should be good to go

That's an interesting idea. I might look at that when my truck arrives. Sounds better than cutting the mat itself

The accessories website shows cutouts for the tie downs. Are there knowckouts or a cutting guide?

^^ not on the matt I installed today. I cut with with a razor knife. The issue with putting the tiedowns over the mat is that the mat cant easily be removed for cleaning.

my thinkin is it depends on if your using a cover or not, would be easier to remove without tie downs but I have seen some strange things, being hauled, come flying out of pickup boxes.
whatever works for you.

I don’t have my truck yet but I ordered the bed mat last week, thinking it would take a while to arrive. It came the next day! Now it just taunts me in the garage while I wait for my Mav status to change from “in production” to “built”.

what is the part number on the Maverick rubber bed mat? I was looking on Ford Accessories and I can't find one that looks like the one in your pics. they have two options for bed rugs but they are over $200 each.

I made one out of a utility mat from Home Depot. Used scrap cardboard to stencil around the wheel wells and tie downs. $30 total and I can just roll it up if I need to take it out.

Mine is 10 moths old and it has the tie down cut-outs. So looks like they solved this bed mat issue in late 2022. It's a nice mat. I wouldn't settle for a DIY mat over the OEM MAVERICK bed mat, even if it saves $100.

I'm happy with my Rough Country bed mat. Good fit, thick rubber and it was$ 99.95 at the time.
