The skid plates have not arrived yet, and it doesn't look like they will arrive in time for my originally scheduled appointment on 4/15. Thus, it looks like I am going to get bumped to 5/6 to have them installed. I hope to have pictures once they are installed and while the Maverick is still on the lift.
Very much looking forward to seeing pictures. I'll be on my 3rd felt liner soon...whoops. 😆

So your truck is AWD but without the FX4 package correct? I like what you’ve done to truck, well done.

Thank you.

Yes, my truck is not an FX4. You cannot get the FX4 package and the Black Appearance Package. I opted for the BAP since I dislike the standard XLT and Lariat interiors. I almost stayed with the XL to get the XL interior. I almost went with the Tremor, but it has too much orange.

Here is a short rundown:
  • Rough Country 2-inch strut lift
  • 245/70-17 tires on new 17-inch wheels from Tire Rack (the BAP 18-inch wheels will be installed on my wife's 2024 Atlas Blue Maverick XL Hybrid
  • JCR Off Road Engine Cover and the full skid plate set will get installed in early May.
  • Orginally, I had an A.R.E. MX-series shell. I, however, sold it to a MTC member and bought a new A.R.E. V-series shell. My wife didn't like the MX and asked me to replace it with the V.
  • Custom stereo from Reus Audio Systems
  • All black Wet Okole seat covers (with lumbar support and seat warmers)
  • Premium Line-X spray-in bedliner
  • Musology gray wood interior trim, upper dash holder, and black radio surround (radio and HVAC knobs have black/chrome knob surrounds).
  • Weathertech laser cut floor mats and their splash guards.
The foundation is a 2023 XLT EB AWD with BAP, CP260, and the Tow Package.

First off, looks great! Secondly, how does it drive with the Rough Country lift kit? I was looking at getting that one.

Keep in mind that I do have a shell on the back that adds weight which impacts the ride.

I haven't noticed any significant change in the on-highway ride.
I did get a chance to drive it off-highway on a road suitable only for 4-wheel-drive vehicles. The suspension and 245/70-17 tires were "in their element" on this road. It was nice to drive and gave predictable responses.

I am pleased with them.

I don't know if that helped.

Yeah, I was mainly interested in if it has a noticable impact on the highway driving. Thanks for the reply!

The JCR Off Road skid plates were installed early by Rebel Off Road in Lake Forest, CA. I posted pictures in the skid plate/armor forum here.

Summary:
  • Gas tank skid plate required some modifications to the aluminum heat shield to fit.
  • Floor skid plates installation matched the YouTube video. Yet, the evap plate pictured and part of the description was missing from my kit.
  • The engine skid plate might be the wrong part since it doesn't extend to the bottom of the front spoiler/bumper.
See the pictures on the other post.

I have not heard from JCR Off Road yet.
