The link you posted still works. You need to put in your VIN number and have an empty USB flash drive formatted as their instruction will tell you. Then you download the update from that site to the flash drive. It will create an update drive. The process to download and create the drive takes some time. Then when actually updating the vehicle has to remain on for about 1 hour continuously, so when we did ours we took a leasurely Saturday afternoon drive in the country until the display said it was completed. Just note that they only release a new map once every two years. Also. The maps are NOT based on Google Maps. Interesting. About a year ago, I did some research, because a location that I go to was always shown in the wrong spot. Back then, my research led me to find that the only mapping program that consistently gave the wrong result for that location was Mapquest.
I did get the update download about a week ago. I also got a phone number if any problems occur: 800-392-3673. I did the download to my desktop computer and then copied the files over to a flash drive.
