The tracking system is virtually worthless. I can live with the fact that I ordered in June and that it took 6 months to get scheduled then 2 month to get built and even the fact that it took a month to get shipped. But now my truck is lost. Ford says it has been delivered to the dealer BUT the dealer does not have it and does not know where it is. It sounds like they are as frustrated as I am and are actively trying to get status from the rail yard. I do not blame the dealer, Ford needs to figure out how to track the production and delivery of their trucks.
I do not know if this is a problem with the tracking system but in my mind there is no reason for them to report the status you see below unless someone at the dealer signed a form that confirmed it was delivered. Mistakes like this may happen but it should not take days to figure out what is going on.
Update: I couldn’t resist asking, the dealership did get two Maverick deliveries yesterday but not mine. The plot thickens
Update 2 (3/22): Still no answers, just finger pointing. The dealer is not getting any answers from the shipping company and Ford still shows it was delivered to the dealer on 3/16. Does anyone have any thoughts on what I can do to push this up the food chain with Ford? I have opened a case with customer service but they do not seem to be taking responsability for getting answers from the shipper on why it was shown as delivered to the dealer but they never got it. Of course if the dealer does have it Ford should also be interested in why they are claiming it was never delivered. It has been a week even if I can't get my truck someone must know where it is.
3/25- the truck showed up at the dealership this afternoon . I did waist any time getting home and in my garage.
