I've had it for a few weeks but I enjoy the hell out of it. Fun to drive, comfortable for a guy my height (6'2"). I was never someone who needed flashy. I was just fine with my 2010 Corolla. It was a solid car that got me to work and back. As you can see from the pic, the Atlantic Ocean is my back yard, and winter here means lots of salt on the roads. 17 years of driving in these conditions was not good on my Corolla. I got it inspected and was told that its time to give her the old yeller treatment. The chassis was getting soft in spots and the mechanic deems it unsafe. I know this dude and trust him so took his advice.
I looked for a new machine that wasn't gonna break me financially but could tow a minimum of 2000lbs. My wife and I are avid ATV trail riders and like to tow the ATV to different areas to ride and explore. I didn't really care about other things but looked at options available and compared it to other car makers. I checked out Chevy, Toyota, and Hyundai but I kept coming back to the Maverick. The Colorado with the factory lift kit almost had me though, not gonna lie.
I ended up getting a 2026 Maverick XLT 2.0L EcoBoost, ruby red metallic tinted clearcoat. It has the 4K tow package, the the Black Appearance package and the luxury package (I mean come on, heated seats and steering wheel, its so worth it in eastern Canada during our winters).
When I signed the papers and the truck was officially mine, the dealership owner and the General Manager came out to meet me and my wife, shake our hands and thank us for our purchase. We ended up chatting for about 15 minutes. The was a nice touch was wasn't necessary but one that makes the experience stand out.
I've only got 2000km on the truck so far but I love this thing and have zero regrets.
