I watched that video a few days ago. I was wondering if that vehicle even has a high voltage battery. They gave the impression it did not. It seems like it is literally an automotive implementation of the diesel electric locomotives we've had for 5+ decades now, only in cars and with gasoline.

I'm really curious to see how this drivetrain does on the market. Nissan totally needs a hit.
