This isn't about the Maverick, which is why it's in the General Automotive Talk (Non-Maverick) section. In this video, Sandy Munro visits the Rivian software development lab and talks with the Rivian engineers. It's a great tutorial on how leading edge cars are developed. I'm posting it here because it's pretty approachable for John Doe, and because Sandy asks why legacy OEMs like Ford aren't (yet) doing what Rivian is doing. And the explanation, which I won't repeat, is enlightening. If you think Rivian is an unimportant little company, you should know that the huge VW group just signed a multi-billion contract to use the Rivian technology displayed in the lab.
If you want to understand the future of vehicles, you should watch this. If you kind of want to understand the software side of making your Maverick go from A to B without throwing a hissy fit, it's also helpful. Hope you enjoy it - I loved it.
