Is anyone getting anything in writing about the 100$ despair they are putting down?

I was asked for 100$ which I knew I would be up front, but I also don’t make it a habit of handing money over to dealerships without the deposit and refund in writing.

I’m supposed to just fork over 100 bucks based on a wink and a nod.

I have an email from sales rep outlining they’re asking for a $100 refundable deposit and two receipts from the transaction. I wouldn’t really get hung up on that part my friend.

I just wrote it on the deposit slip and have them sign it.

Well looks like I was able to put my order in. Got both email confirmations. I don't see my deposit charge on my bank statement yet which is a bit concerning. So what's the next step here? I assume wait for a VIN?? Sorry, first time I've ever ordered a new car

LOL far from hung up on it friend. I just don't trust a sale person. They DO NOT have my best interest in mind so I just wondered what others experiences have been.

Each Mullinax does things a little different also. My 22 I have with Apopka required a deposit, but my 23 I put in with Kissimmee did not require anything.

Got my order sheet from my salesman to sign and return last Friday. I haven't received an email from Ford, and my sales guy keeps saying he's going to email me the corporate confirmation but I haven't gotten it yet. This is the same guy who wouldn't put me at priority 10 because "it doesn't make a difference" even though I'm a rollover from 22. I'm really thinking my truck didn't get ordered.

Try chatting or calling Ford. I had to put in a last minute 23 order with Mullinax in case my roll-over order falls through. It was submitted at like 6pm the day hybrids closed and still haven't received an email from Ford. I chatted though and it shows in the system as In Processing so I believe that means it at least made it in time.

Their ears must have been burning, just received a copy of the COVP claim status from my salesperson. Still no email from Ford Corporate confirming. Also, it says it wasn't ordered until the 19th, so yeah there was a log jam with Mullinax ordering.

Just got off the phone with Ford Corporate who confirmed my order and gave me my code for the 22 rollover discount or whatever they're calling it

This is the only place in my forms where priority is mentioned. So far Mullinax NSB has been great to deal with.

I dealt with Mullinax NSB and they were great! Got my confirmation email from Ford - now the waiting begins!

Will see if the order sticks but ordering through Mullinax was painless… only frustration was the salesman breaking free long enough to take my order. I clicked a button on their site to preorder, they sent a follow up email to establish contact… phone tag… then salesman filled out my order sheet over the phone and sent me a build sheet to electronically sign along with the final deposit/order contract. I did this partially while flying in a plane, driving to my office, and conducting a meeting… hopefully the build happens within the window for me to make the most of my college student rebate.

much better than the dealership I hadspent the past 6 months working with who decided to inform me that contrary to every conversation and assurance… they had an 800 dealer fee and loads of processing fees to tack onto my order…

I went to my local Coggin Ford to see if they would match Mullinax. They won't ($800 dealer fee). There were no customers at Coggin and they weren't
even taking 2023 Mav orders unless you are a 22 order that didn't get built.

I really wanted to buy from my local dealers (Lakeland, Winterhaven, Plant City, Bartow… etc) all had some kind of crazy dealer fee or mandatory dealer installed options to take a Maverick preorder…

I got over my preference to spend money closer to home.

well it looks like they are on the "mark up" bandwagon too" ( just the ones that they are able to put on the lot and sell) the ones we ordered are still at msrp. our vero dealer has 6 on the lot ,but all were special orders and marked sold. they have one for sale NEW xl catus gray hybrid, sticker $22 ish and they want $29,000 . they never did get mine ordered 10/21 base xlt hybrid and one opt.trailer hitch. they reordered it 10/15/22 so we wait and wait and wait, boy it "bugs" me a little seeing them show up on the lot,but 99% are sold orders. I ask If I wanted ,say the one XL they have, can I have it for sticker, then when my 23 xlt comes in, you sell it!!?? never really got a Stright answer yet , I guess its a gamble that we really will get our 2023??? who knows.

funny thier website shows 4 mavericks for sale at $3000 over sticker?? they have 8- so stores, but the Vero one I looked at today was $7000 over? and new, the used ones are about $10,000 over what sticker was.
