I would like to understand - what is the difference between the '25 LOBO and the other 2025 Maverick models that negates the fitment of mud flaps to the LOBO.
I know, I know, street trucks and autocross vehicles will look silly with mud flaps. (I just wanted to get that out of the way before someone else says it)

I have to take a gravel / dirt road when I go to the flying field and I don't want the Mav to get dinged up, and yes I drive very slow on that access road.

rokblokz look and work fine on my truck, lowered on eibachs. this is 1.5+ inches lower than a stock lobo.

I'd go with something like this 4mm plastic sheet for mud flaps and make my own.

Make a template out of cardboard, transfer it to the plastic and cut it out. Install it with the OEM splash shield bolts and you're done. I have something similar in my track car, they're indestructible and will flex if they bottom out instead of straining the sheetmetal

I'm curious if their blue matches velocity blue, or else just go with black

I've done both on mine, custom-cut from sheet plastic and Rockblokz. Honestly, I think the Rockblokz are totally worth the price for the package, and are much better than any of the custom-fit Ford or aftermarket options. They look great, are tough as hell and have stronger mounting points than the factory push-clips.

I don't know why the fitment would be different between the standard Maverick and the Lobo, unless the molding for the plastic trim is slightly different. Nearly all of the mounting points are fixed to the fender/quarter panel sheet metal behind the wheel liner.

it wouldn't be any different. the only thing different about the lobo body-wise is the front fascia and the ride height. the fascia doesn't matter for mudflaps, and several others besides me have rokblokz on lowered mavericks.

if you drive down a gravel road you will hear a LOT of stuff hitting the mudflaps, but you won't have any trouble with them dragging the ground unless you get into 2-track, off-road/soft-road conditions.

I thought the mud flaps offered were too big. I didn't need them to be 4" from the ground. So I decided to make my own. I ordered some large truck mud flaps 24" square from Amazon (link below). This stuff is flexible and is about 3 mm thick. Made cardboard templates and cut them out.
The surface is uneven where they mount - figured on making spacers to compensate. Trying to figure out how to prevent them from rubbing the paint off the edge of the fender as stated in several posts here.
Project got shuffled to the back burner several times.

Found some that could be shortened/modified but they don't fit the LOBO??? Just trying to find out what the difference is.
If I ever get mine done I'll post pictures.

I've got better shit to do than try to DIY mudflaps when I can just buy them. the measuring, the mounting, even just the fasteners.

no thanks. not going to 'save' any money by the time I account for my time (which I value a lot, I'm at least $50/hr lol).

It's not about saving money, it's about having things the way you want them. But I guess you don't give a sh** about that.
The mud flaps I have seen are way too big. They would be fine if you had to drive through a mud bog to get from your garage to the street.

I do give a shit about mudflaps, that's why I have them installed on my truck, and I think they look fine both at stock ride height as well as lowered 2-3". Meanwhile *you* do not have your custom mudflaps done yet, so which of us cares about protecting paint enough to actually be doing it? Hmm.

The rokblokz I use are larger than average, but they're not too big and they actually still protect tires that poke out of the fenders a bit. Muslogy and others make flaps that are considerably shorter so if I agreed with your opinion - which I don't - I'd try those.

So, you're wanting more of a "splash guard" than a mud flap. Why didn't you say so? ;)

I get that you're relatively new here, but I can tell you that @colinl definitely is particular about his setup and is always happy to help lend his knowledge where he can. Stating your assumption that any of us trying to help you don't give a shit about any aspect of the subject is kind of like looking the proverbial gift horse in the mouth, don't you think?

It wouldn't be any different between trims.
CONFIRMED: It's actually different for the Lobo

The back quarter panels (or whatever they're called) are slightly different on the Lobo and the holes do not align to the rear mudflaps that fit other Mavericks (I know from experience). Cheers.

pics? that is pretty hard to believe, honestly. the lobo is expensive enough to make since it has painted skirts, front fascia, rear bumper. I really doubt Ford has different panels, or fender liners.

it makes much more sense to me that you had an issue installing the mudflaps, such as being shipped 2 fronts, or wrong hardware, or something.
