@MABETT
I tried to email you but the address that I found did not work.

Good afternoon,

I have a 2024 Maverick Lariat that I but the Mabett mud flaps back in September and the driver rear is missing the two lower clips after a car wash, I originally installed the mud flaps with the original clips and they have held up through the same car wash. I have tried the clips that came with the flaps, but those do not fit througg the metal that they will fasten to and are almost to big for the hole on the flaps, which clips do I need? I even went to ford and bought clips and those do not fit correctly either.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you and Happy New Year!

The (2) lowest positions actually use a #8 screw and a metal clip nut, if the drivers side you should be able to crawl under and see if the clip nuts are still there, and just put new #8 sheet metal screws & washers on. If not, you can get clip nuts at any decent hardware or auto store.

@Hot Runr Guy , thank you! This sounds like a good option. I did not want to drill the holes. I just did not want to start a place for rust to start. Hopefully I can look at it this weekend. If that is all it is. I bought aa nice assortment of those crappy plastic fasteners. Although I am sure I will use some of them at some point. Not used to LEGO cars just yet. Will let you know.
Thanks!

So my saga is now and this was far more of a PITA than mud flap should be. But here is the resolution:
  1. Mabett Mud Flaps from Amazon $33
  2. Plastic rivet kit from Amazon $12
  3. Ford OEM plastic rivets $16
  4. Hardware from Ace Hardware $1.57
    1. 2 Fender washers
    2. 2 lock washers
    3. 2 #8 threaded screws
    4. 2 of the clip nuts.
    5. Spending 5 minuets with the guy that was a few years older than me: Priceless!
  5. About 2 hours of my time, research, store and crawling under the truck!
I will preface this with I have MS so when I first saw the @MABETT mud flaps and how they attached I was excited since the MS has mess3ed with the muscles in my legs. Getting up and down from the ground has its challenges, I will leave it at that.

So, since the original plastic rivets seemed to work well that came on the truck, I went out and bought an assortment pack of them. I had figured that even if I used the two out of the pack, I still have mud flaps on all 4 and I have taken a look around the truck and see these things all over, odds are good that I will need a few again. When none of those fit right, I bought the OEM ones from Ford. Those did not fit correctly either! I took @Hot Runr Guy 's advice and bought the hardware looks like a great cure and I believe that it still is, so thank you for the suggestion! The #8 screw I bought was 3/4'" would fit but was almost short, so if you find your self in this but the 1". I got my partially crippled a$$ on the ground and the original nuts were still there. Not sure why they were there nothing screwed into them! Also the #8 machine screw did not fit. I pulled those off and tried the ones I bought but at the same time, I realized that I not had this nice big holes to tie everything together and now it looked like the plastic rivets may work. So, I pulled out the plastic rivets that came with the mud flaps and lo and behold they now fit with that clip nuts removed! The plastic rivets now appear that they will hold nice and tight going forward. Time will tell on that one!

The remaining flaps will need to be checked down the road and I have no idea why the top hole is different than the 2 below on the truck or why the clip nuts were installed and never used! To add insult to injury, that hole does not have s clue nut behind it either. Which for me was quite misleading for the lower two holes, since the top one fits great! The silver clips are the ones that were on the truck in the photo below.

So if you took the time to read this I hope this does not happen to you or perhaps you googled it and it saved you some frustration!

@mwolze I've got to apologize, we live almost next door to each other, and while I'm only a few years younger than you, I can still fit my fat a$$ under when I need to. Glad to see that you were able to pull it together.

I'm happy to see this thread, I got my Mabett mud flaps yesterday. I was standing out in the driveway waiting for the dogs to finish their bidnezz and wishing the temperatures would go up so I could wash the thing and get the flaps installed. My thoughts went to the installation process and I got to thinking maybe I should use all screws and nut clips on all the holes rather than plastic rivets in the top two. Ehhh, prolly not...

I ordered my mud flaps at the parts counter at my Ford dealer. I'm hoping they go on super simple.

It warmed up enough to clean it up and do the install! They went on easy, seemed solid enough, and look fine.

It probably took me 30 minutes to install my 4 mudflaps on my 24' using the existing hardware. Pretty straightforward and simple.... I installed the musology flaps purchased new from a member here.

I used the included ppf where the mudflaps go near the paint, and the included 1/4" foam on the flaps themselves.
