I have a set of Mabett mud flaps that I really like but the clips are smaller than the stock Maverick ones. With that said, the stock clips kind of suck too. Long story short, I ended up losing my 2 front flaps over the winter. (Maine is brutal) Has anyone found a clip solution that really works well?

I'm thinking a fastener that is a little more sturdy. Any help would be super. Thanks!

I've owned a Maxzina set of mudflaps in the past that had plastic clips that were clearly better than the factory ones. Now I have a set of Rockblokz mud flaps that have a different setup that I consider much better.

Rockblokz supply sheet metal clip-on nuts, sometimes called "J-nuts" or "J-style nuts" that clip onto the holes that are in the body sheet metal. Then a stainless screw is inserted through a small fender washer, through the flap, the felt liner material and screwed into the J-nut. This seems to be a much heavier-duty way of fastening than the usual plastic clips.

I thought these were the ones that came with my RokBlokz?

I lost my Mabett front flaps, too. Thought it was just me, but apparently it's not.
My Mav has ridden with the 'old school' rear flaps only look for about two years now.

I think I found some replacements and good clips. Will report back here if that works out to be it.

WOW, same here about a year ago mine fell off as well. Going to replace but probably with a different brand. I reached out to Mabett but got ghosted.

Maybe this is a bigger issue than anyone thought.
We should start a support group!
