Motor Symbol on 2025 Lariat Hybrid

See attached photo. On the upper left of the power bar there is a “symbol” that looks like an engine. Dealer says it means nothing but it suddenly popped up at about 1400 miles. Has anyone else seen this and has an idea of what it means.

You mean the white one above the battery symbol? That gauge is telling you when you are on the battery or using the gas engine as the primary power source. Does anyone even look at their owners manuals anymore? All these things are in there, right near the beginning!

In fact I did look at the owners manual. The version I have (purchased from Ebay) says that when that "white" symbol shows up it means there is an emission problem. When my truck arrived in April that symbol was NOT there. So maybe it showed up at about 1400 miles because Ford did an over the air update.
But thanks. I'll now ignore it.

Mine is always there as well since I bought it two weeks ago. It is part of the power gauge - showing either the ICE or electric mode.

Wait, you paid for a manual? It's downloadable from Ford's website for free. Check the one from Ford, it's possible the one from ebay is a fake.

Actually, I did download the manual, and it is also available in the vehicle. I'm just old fashioned and like to also have a printed copy. The online manual says the same thing as the printed manual.

That engine symbol is always there. It is possible you never noticed it before.

If it wasn't there and suddenly popped up, then you certainly have an electrical issue (short) or something weird going on.

That left power gauge is selectable in the screen menu. Maybe it wasn't selected when you first picked up the truck.

If it was the Check Engine Light (CEL), it would be yellow. At least it is on my '23 and every other vehicle I've owned that had a CEL.

It is remarkably similar to a check engine light. Shame on Ford for not being more creative on this.
