more points if I wait until delivery to sign up for fordpass, or not?

With my maverick supposedly loaded on a train in Hermosillo, ford is now willing to let me "manage" online systems with fordpass.

But am I giving up any signup points if I sign up now rather than after purchase? some older online sources seem to suggest more points after purchase than before (which I assume means payment & dealer delivery).

And if I activate, can I watch its progress from its GPS?

The points for purchasing a vehicle are fixed. And you need access to the vehicle to link it to your account.

As I recall to activate FordPass you have to scan the barcode label located on the inner driver’s door frame and be inside the vehicle to pair with your smart device

No points for signing up as far as I know. All I got was the 42,000 (now 31,000) that were promised for purchasing a Mav.

Activating Ford Pass in your Maverick (well soon to be yours) before the sale date will likely cause you to miss out on the points. When Ford Pass first came out, I know that activating the modem more than 3 days before the sale date would exclude you from getting the points.
