Moonroof noise

After much trouble shooting, I have noises coming from the moonroof. When in the closed position the glass is just slightly loose, so when I go over even the smallest bump, a knocking noise happens. When the moonroof is either open or in the tilt position, the noises don't happen. When closed it is still weatherproof.

My question: Does anyone have any knowledge on how to tighten the moonroof? My idea so far is to put duct tape around the edge of the opening to help the glass be seated more snugly. It's raining at the moment so I can't test this yet. Anyone have any other ideas to fix this?

if you are under warranty, that's a dealer item.

Go to the dealer with the problem. If you mess with it , it might become a non-warranty problem.
My last four Fords all had moonroofs. They all had problems that were covered by the warranty. Could be just a piece of plastic in there that needs to be popped back in place.
So far my Mav's moonroof has been quiet and working properly.

Probably drain tubes. Blow them out every now and then so they don't start leaking into your cab.

Don't mess with it - have it repaired under warranty. Take photos of your clean headliner and roof of the trucklet before you turn it over to the dealer.

I've had a 2022 Mav w/sunroof and now have a 2024 w/sunroof. No issues, no noises in either.

Unrelated to your post, I find that when the sunroof is open above 60 mph, the wind noise become too loud to enjoy.
