After much trouble shooting, I have noises coming from the moonroof. When in the closed position the glass is just slightly loose, so when I go over even the smallest bump, a knocking noise happens. When the moonroof is either open or in the tilt position, the noises don't happen. When closed it...
I may do that. The dealership offered to make the necessary repairs and detail my truck for free (woopty freakin doo). They said they would update me on the status of the parts they ordered today, but to the shock of no one, they did not call. We'll see how this goes. There's another dealership...
Funny that you responded with that because similar issues happened to me.
Final Update: They ran diagnostics again and found a faulty wire. Fixed it and the moonroof works properly, but in reassembling the interior a host of other issues have come up...
Receiving the vehicle back there's just...
The fact that people accept first year vehicles to be inherently shitty is why they continue to be shitty. I'd gladly sell the maverick to get a vehicle from a company whose company name isn't an acronym for Fix Or Repair Daily.
Also Update: An employee of the dealership used the moonroof...
Update: My dealership has had my maverick for 8 days now. They initially determined the motor that controls opening and closing the moonroof was busted. They replaced it and it still doesn't work. Now, they think it's the actual control button which opens the moonroof is broken and the parts for...
Ever since I brought my truck in to the dealer to get the curtain airbag recall done, the moonroof won't open. Both buttons open just the small crack, but it will not fully slide open. Anyone else have this issue? Is it something I can fix myself?
So you instructed a glass company (Safelite?) to take out those plastic pieces? And they just listened to you? I just dealt with Safelite to replace my windshield with the same issue and they wouldn't because the windshield wasn't damaged.
Welp it's over. It was a field mouse. It entered from behind the brake/gas pedals. Still can't tell from where exactly. The poor guy chewed his own leg and tail off so I put it out of it's misery. Thanks to everyone who offered advice.
Nothing this morning...new droppings but nothing caught, repositioned the traps and will keep trying...reexamined under the steering wheel by the pedals and glove box as well as under the hood and by the air filter. No evidence of damage that would have been caused by a mouse.
