Rattle Behind Moonroof

I have a sporadic rattle that’s pretty loud coming from what seems to be the headliner just behind the moonroof. Can’t hear it with moonroof tilted/open (assume because wind noise), but with moonroof closed it’s noticeable. Have tried applying pressure with my hand to the headliner behind the moonroof, moonroof itself, and the moonroof cover hesdliner panel. Also doesn’t seem to make a difference if the moonroof cover is slid forward or back.

Anyone else notice this?

I had a '22 EB with moonroof and now a 24 hybrid with moonroof. No rattle, etc. in either.

Are you positive it is not from the sliding sunshade? Or possibly some other source behind you? Junk in the center console? Under the rear seat? Seatbelt buckle hitting the B pillar? Rear seatback not fully latched?

Try removing all objects in the console, under rear seat, etc. etc. to isolate. I would do this before I let the dealer rip my headliner off.

I have not noticed any noise from the moonroof.

When we ordered our truck, I did not order it with a moonroof. We had waited about 15 months for our truck to be built when our dealer (who we have dealt with for over twenty years) called us and said that a customer did not want his truck when it arrived and did we want to look it? The truck was the same as we ordered only it had a moonroof. Same color, trim and options. He could of just marked it up and sold it becuase it was an abandoned order, but he's not like that.

As we were talking with the dealer, he got a notice from Ford that our truck was being built. . . .

Since our dealer was finding himself having to call some of his Maverick customer's to tell them, even though you got a build notice, Ford had canceled their orders, we bought the bird in hand.

When our truck came in, our dealer sold it to a guy that had been waiting for his black truck to get built . . . when his black truck came in, he traded our order in on it.

It's a long story, but so far, the moonroof has not been the worrisome feature I thought it might be.
