So I bought a 2023 Lariat edition at CarMax. 4k miles. My vehicle was totalled (not my fault) so I needed something quickly. And, naturally, insurance payout isn't great. I had actually been looking for a couple of weeks. Had a Silverado, but it was just too big for me now. I'm retired. Initially wanted something that would fit in a garage and I did NOT want the crew cab. Really just wanted the extended cab Ranger (had one years ago), but apparently every truck being made today is a crew cab (family edition).

In general, I'm happy with it. It's the little things. Like, why no garage door opener? Then there's this space next to the screen. What's anyone use it for? Really wanted power adjustable seats. Well the drivers side kind of is. Doesn't have a lot of movement. Hurts my back after a long drive. Ended up buying a tapered seat cushion. And why only the drivers side? Vehicle has the Rough County solid bed cover which gives you a decent lockable storage area. I bought a tray that fits in the center console so I don't have to dig thru it as much. Nav system is pathetic. However, since everyone has a cell phone today, it's easier to use that. And I think it's up to 4 recalls now.

I used to be able to buy on the Ford X Plan so I've owned a lot of Fords. I really like the Explorer and the Ranger that I had. OK, other than the water pump issue with the Explorer which is why I dumped it.

The power seat on my XLT is just fine. Forward/backward, up/down as well as a lumbar support. Not sure what your issue is.

No idea what you mean by "why no garage door opener". My garage door opener came with, ergh, my garage door, not my truck.

He is referring to the Homelink system which used to be available but has been dropped by many manufacturers. I've had it - easy to set up and saves having another non-oem thing to hide somewhere on the dash.
