I have a 2.0 AWD XLT with all the packages only 1100 miles, I noticed since I stated using my AC my mileage has gone the tubes the first 5/600 miles I didn't need AC, I was getting 20/25 local and over 30 highway, now with AC on am lucky to get 15/16 miles per gal. highway maybe 20. has anybody else noticed his? Also at Idle in drive and on the brake with AC on the vehicle has a slight rotating motion, I feel this in the cab and when turning off the AC it goes away.
Am going to have ford change the oil at 2500 miles and ask them to look at it but I know from experience {I worked for car dealer for 38 years} they won't find anything.

I have the EB, AWD, FX4.4K tow. And I always run the AC. I am still getting 23-24 city and 29-30 highway.
I recently drove 500 miles to Niagara Falls and got 29-30 with AC on.
Something doesn’t seem right with what your getting.
Bad gasoline?

It shouldn't make that much of a difference, I have been using the a/c most of the time for the last 1000 miles & I am still averaging 31 combined, a/c use only dropped my mileage slightly. You are not using 88-e15 fuel are you? That will put a kink in your mpgs.

There is something else going on here. I have been driving around on the highway (@62 Mph where I live) with the AC on and get over 35 mpg. I have an ecoboost AWD with the 4k tow package.

As far as city driving goes, I don't use my AC around town so I can't comment there.

I agree with all you guys, I find it odd that in my first 500 miles I get great mileage and now the only thing I have done different is put AC on and getting crappy miles. AC doesn't put a strain on engine like it did in the old days, Am going to do some testing and shut the AC and put some miles on and see what happens. Its possible I got some poor gas with the slight rock at idle in drive at lights and poor mileage, I dont drive much and a tank of gas lasts two weeks and I fill up at quarter or more left in tank. Going to fill up and turn AC off and see.

Could be something wrong with the compressor.
Engine is working harder to turn it.

My eb with tow, 17” a/t tires using 91 octane in eco with ac gets 21 in town. I should note using Buschers oil separation setup.

Hello
It's been 3 weeks since I got my Maverick and I keep getting between 18 and 19mpg... I thought it was the AC (I live in South Florida) but yesterday I drove all day withouth A/C just for the sake of solving this, but nothing new, 19mpg again...
Not sure what's happening and if the dealer could help with this

With the hybrid it’s virtually nonexistent, as long as it’s on 1-2 bars. If it’s cranked more than that I see some reduction.
