message something like this " your vehicle has active tracking and location......" on the screen for 2-3 seconds. I will try to copy exactly next time I see it. Maybe caused by the pushback Ford has received over the tracking issue, and NO my phone was not with me it was about 6 miles away. It was like a message on the computer that warns about cookies

Your data is likely added a tracking device for their purposes of tracking your vehicle.

That should have been your dealer added a tracking device not uncommon on today's vehicles I had one on mine and I took it off.

Seems very unlikely, first time I have seen that message in about 11 months of ownership, but I will check when I go for annual service(2518 miles) next month. No dealer attachment, no financing I do have the Ford APP on my phone -but I had forgotten my phone at home. I posted to see if others were seeing this message. I watch Lehtos Law and I saw the Ford Law enforcement video a couple of days ago, its very similar to the "cookie" alert you receive on a computer

Not sure what causes it to appear, I see it occasionally.
It doesn't use your phone, that's not going to help you retrieve your truck if someone takes it.
Id like to get rid of the hey your seatbelts are on message. yeah, I know.

There is a thread on this forum on how you can eliminate the seatbelt message by using Forscan. I've done it myself and it works.

I had no financing on my truck as well and I still found a dealer installed tracker on my truck connected in line with my OBD2 port. This was on powered on and transmitting all the time even when the truck was turned off.
I took it off and I have no more tracking notices nor do I have low battery warnings after being parked because of the continuous power being used by this tracking device.

appreciate the reply, I was wondering if anyone else had seen it - would think in a years time it would have flashed on screen earlier- when I had forgotten my phone I knew there would be no phone link so it would be the Mav
