Hello all,

First thanks to the community for making owning a Maverick much more enjoyable. The XL cruse control swap worked wonderful. And Forscan makes it easy to get rid of most of the annoying chimes and nonsense that ford puts into its vehicles. The articles and guide have been amazing, so thank you!

I had a question about the Message center in the XL hybrid dash. Every time I start the vehicle I'm given several notifications that I simply hate. I cannot find a way to disable them. See below.

These things drive me crazy. I have read the manual and can't figure out how to disable them. I called Ford, and I'm sure many of you know this, they are clueless. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have never seen those messages before, but I have the FX4/Lariat instrument cluster which is very different. Did you see those messages before adding cruise control?

Yes. Unfortunately they have been on the vehicle since I took delivery.

Keeping all seats belts buckled (yes, even those on unoccupied seats) will squelch the appearance of the first pop-up.

As for the other one, no way to make it go poof of which I'm aware aside from pressing OK on the steering wheel or else waiting 45 seconds (vehicle can be driven during this period) and it will go away on its own.

Is the "Ready to Drive" a hybrid thing? Since the EB has that familiar engine rumble, I'm guessing this is Ford's way of telling the driver the truck is on?

No obvious way to disable the Ready to Drive prompt. It's a hybrid, so the ICE isn't necessarily going to start as soon as you power on the vehicle. Thus, no telltale noise/vibrations to go based on, and no obvious way to disable the prompt.

Same reason why a hybrid has the READY icon on the dash - confirms that the hybrid powertrain is operational.

Either OK to get out of it or just start driving.

Yes. Basically it's telling you all systems go!
