Maybe a mid-March build with April arrival

Approaching 5 months since I placed an order for XLT, the local dealer says Ford was supposed to provide updates. The dealer says a mid-March build with a late April arrival. A true sunk cost conundrum: believe the dealer and wait two more months or move onto the Subaru Crosstrek and get it sooner.

I'm reminded of that UFO poster: I want to believe.

What is the sunk cost you speak of though? Do you lose a downpayement or something?

IMHO, your dealer is full of crap... The build emails for mid-April are already being released (as you can see) and if you are not emailed in the next two weeks an April build is not going to happen for you (much less March). At this point, if you have not received a build date your probably looking at a late May to early June delivery.

Yep, what Randy said. If you are on this forum and believe your dealer/salesdude knows more than you do.......you need to read this forum more diligently.

God bless them but some car salespeople are just the lowest.
