I have a 23 Maverick Hybrid scheduled for build, but haven’t even sat in 1 before today. Driving by my dealer, I saw several on their lot & decided to stop & touch & sit in 1 for kicks. When I pulled in, I then saw many more. My rep, who I have worked with for many years & bought lots of commercial & personal vehicles from happened to see me on the lot. We got to talking & I soon learned that they have gotten in about 30 Mavericks in the last 2 weeks.

The rep was going over to their receiving yard to ferry back another truck and asked me to ride along & drive back the LIGHTNING they were using to get there. That intrigued me, so I readily agreed. As it turns out, this dealer probably has 50 -60 Mavericks in stock, between their sales lot & receiving yard. Most were Oxford White Ecoboost XL’s for commercial or government applications. Apparently, the factory has been shipping lots out lately. The dealer is backed up processing them out to Customers who ordered them. Some Customers have given up & aren’t taking them.

By the way, the LIGHTNING was SWEET! Barking tires in AWD is easy. But I already have a POWERBOOST & LOVE IT! 800 miles of range & 26+mpg for a crew cab long bed 4wd is hard to beat. No LIGHTNING for me for now.

Were there any UFO's there as well? You know the classic round saucer style ones generally attributed to the Greys. There is also a variant style generally attributed to the Nordics. Their anti-gravity devices are generally a little noisier than the Grey's saucers so easier to ID them in particular.

As I said in my 1st post, most of the aforementioned Mavericks are sitting in the receiving yard waiting for the NC State Government to take delivery. Another large percentage are waiting to be processed for commercial Customers. Of the handful that are not Oxford White Ecoboost XLs, 2 were on the sales lot & the rest waiting for Customer pickup with big sold signs on the dash.

I did not post this info to say ya’ll come. I posted to let folks know that chips have finally come in & the factory is finally shipping lots of Ecoboosts that were waiting for chips. By the way, as I understand it, there was not a single Hybrid in the lot of them.

My dealer, Vic Bailey Ford, in Spartanburg SC, had no more than 20-30 white XLs on the lot when I went to pick up my order. When questioned, they were all commercial customer units, including for the state highway department. I’m sure if someone stopped in, you could at least get an up close look. Ask for Will Gillespie.

My dealer had 30+ XL Mavericks in a row like three months ago when a family member picked up their Lightning. All of them going to a local power company. They have been pumping those EB XLs out for awhile now.

better off getting what you want. I got tired of waiting and bought a toyota rav4 hybrid with way less options , that bothered me everyday I drove it. Finally when my maverick came in, it was so nice to have everything I wanted. Don't settle and hope your wait is not much longer!
